Engineer, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design
and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure,
stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out
critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas
within various business functions in support of the firm's business
objectives.You should be a strong Infrastructure DevOps Engineer
with the ability to dig deeper into any part of the stack. An
in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of distributed systems
is a must. You must also have exposure to Microservices
Technology/Platform and its related technical stack. You should be
able to apply those fundamentals to real-world problems and come up
with specialized solutions. Your work will require you to interact
with cross-functional teams and cooperate with people working in
different areas of the stack. You should value simplicity and
scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and
be excited to learn.Role and Responsibilities:
- Define and implement standards for managing infrastructure with
VMware, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Design and develop infrastructure-as-code solutions and change
management processes.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and
feedback loops.
- Implement monitoring and incident response strategies for cloud
infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
- Optimize infrastructure by utilizing managed cloud services on
AWS and Azure.
- Configure and maintain cloud resources on AWS and Azure,
ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Build and manage Helm charts and custom modules for
applications and services on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Apply DevOps best practices and tooling across the team and
organization.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub
and Harness.
- Collaborate with developers and security teams to enhance cloud
product reliability, availability, and maintainability.
- Monitor infrastructure, security, PaaS, and microservices, and
respond to alerts.
- Design and implement performance metrics and error monitoring
using New Relic and Log Analytics.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash
to enhance operational efficiency.
- Automate provisioning and scaling of cloud environments on AWS
and Azure.
- Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Manage capacity across public and private cloud resource pools,
automating scaling processes.
- Administer and optimize Linux and Windows server environments
within cloud infrastructure.Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 7
years of experience.
- Extensive experience with large-scale cloud-native
SaaS/PaaS/IaaS applications.
- Broad expertise in cloud infrastructure, VMs, load balancing,
databases, and networking.
- Proficient in building and deploying microservices using Docker
and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, and
scripting (shell, Python, Perl).
- Hands-on experience with PaaS and IaaS cloud services.
- Proficient in infrastructure as code using Terraform,
CloudFormation, ARM, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) for
infrastructure as code.
- Experience in creating and scaling databases on AWS and Azure,
including managing SQL (Postgres) and No-SQL (MongoDB)
databases.
- Knowledge of cloud network topology, BGP, routing, and REST
APIs.
- High availability engineering, including region, availability
zone, and data replication clustering.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and
implementation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and
ArgoCD.
- Experience with Kubernetes patterns such as Istio, sidecar, and
Karpenter.
- Experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Skilled in log analysis and root cause analysis.
- Experience in agile DevOps environments with geographically
distributed teams.
- Experience in building self-service models for one-click
deployments.
- Expertise in Layer 7 security and other security
perimeters.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Soft Skills:
