Pinterest wants you! We're looking for a dynamic and strategic
Senior Manager of Marketing Strategy & Operations to join our
high-performing Marketing + Comms Strategy & Ops team. In this
crucial role, you will lead the maturity and scaling of our Central
Ops function, ensuring our Marketing + Comms organization operates
at peak efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to help build and
define how we work at Pinterest during an exciting period of
growth. What you'll do:
- Mature and Scale: Drive the maturity and scaling of the Central
Ops function, ensuring the Marketing + Comms organization operates
efficiently and effectively.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee budget management, including
Opex and Headcount, vendor and contract management, and internal
communications strategies within the Central Ops function. Be a
player-coach, ready to roll up your sleeves and handle budget and
finance operations directly, digging in with the team to support
and execute.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse teams
including marketing, legal, procurement, finance, deal desk, and
other parts of the Marketing + Comms organization to align
marketing operations with broader business goals and ensure
seamless execution.
- Data Analytics: Utilize data analysis tools to measure the
effectiveness of marketing operations and provide actionable
insights for continuous improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities
for process improvements, driving operational excellence across the
Marketing + Communications organization.
- Executive Reporting: Analyze and report on the performance of
marketing operations to executive leadership, making data-driven
recommendations for optimization.
- Team Management: Lead and inspire your team, managing
performance effectively, fostering a cohesive and inclusive work
environment, and developing talent to meet both organizational and
individual career goals.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations,
deliver constructive feedback, and foster an environment of
continuous improvement. Ensure team members are aligned with
organizational objectives and supported in their professional
growth. What we're looking for:
- Extensive Experience: 8+ years in strategic marketing and
operations, ideally within the tech industry.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership and
relationship-building skills for effective cross-functional
collaboration and team management.
- People Management: Proven experience in managing team
performance, conducting performance evaluations, delivering
feedback, and fostering a supportive and inclusive team
environment. Comfortable with being an industry expert providing
guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Operational Excellence: Proven expertise in operational
planning, budget management, and vendor/contract oversight, with a
hands-on approach to managing budget and finance operations.
- Analytical and Data-Driven: Proficiency in data analysis tools
(Excel, SQL, Tableau) and strategic decision-making.
- Project Management and Problem Solving: Exceptional project
management skills and the ability to thrive in ambiguity, providing
clear direction and solutions. Relocation Statement:
