Summary:As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the
day-to-day accounting. You will be handling things like reviewing
the general ledger, preparing monthly and quarterly
reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and preparing for
year-end audits. You'll also support our international activities
including preparing consolidations. Besides the day-to-day
accounting, you'll be overseeing and helping the accounting team
grow, working closely with the Assistant
Controller.Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the
accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate completion of
tasks.
- Assist in the monthly and quarterly financial statements,
including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow
statements, in compliance with relevant accounting standards and
regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and
procedures to ensure accurate and efficient financial
reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations such as
fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, debt, and inventory. -
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and
forecasts
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget,
identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective
actions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and facilitate timely
and accurate tax filings with our tax providers
- Oversee the management of accounts payable ensuring timely
payment activities.
- Lead and mentor direct reports, providing guidance, training,
and performance evaluations.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard
company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits,
providing necessary documentation and resolving queries.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry
best practices, recommending and implementing changes as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or a similar role,
preferably in a startup environment.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial
reporting, and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex
financial data.
- Proficient in using accounting software and advanced knowledge
of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability
to effectively communicate financial information to non-finance
professionals.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong
organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced
environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think
critically.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software and ERP systems
(e.g., Netsuite, Bill.com, Expensify, Shiphero) is a plus. - Salary
Range:$130,000 - $150,000Plus bonus and stock options
