The mission of the Experimentation Platform Team is to help Reddit
developers execute more experiments and measured rollouts with
larger user benefits and less effort. As an engineer on the
Experimentation Platform Team, you will have Reddit-wide impact. We
are excited about empowering innovation at Reddit through
actionable and trustworthy experimentation at scale.We are hiring a
Senior Software Engineer, who will play a critical role in making
Reddit's experimentation platform world-class. We seek a candidate
who can bridge the gap between our user-facing features and the
underlying infrastructure. Ultimately, this Engineer role will
drive the Experimentation Platform Team's mission to accelerate
innovation and growth through actionable, opinionated, and
trustworthy A/B testing.Some of our present and future challenges
include:
- Design, develop, scale, and support Reddit's Experimentation
Platform.
- Design and implement a UX that will help product teams conduct
better experiments and make decisions faster.
- Develop and operate high scale data products with a focus on
live site reliability, trustworthiness of analyzed data, and
debuggability/actionability for feature teams.
- Increase developer efficiency through automation, improved
signals, workflow streamlining and system optimization.
- Collaborate cross functionally within the Experimentation
Platform Team and across the whole company to find technical
solutions to complex design challenges.
- Participate in the full development cycle: design, development,
impact assessment, and deployment.As a senior engineer on this
team, you'll be immediately responsible for building and driving a
vision for our experimentation platform with immediate impact on
services across Reddit. You'll draw on your technical expertise and
leadership skills to ensure our experimentation offering is
cohesive and provides maximum value to an ever growing engineering
organization.What You'll Do:
- Steer: Work with the team to select, scope, and drive high
leverage projects that align with Reddit's goals.
- Build: Execute on a strategy and a higher quality architecture
and user experience for the Experimentation Platform.
- Amplify: Mentor, coach, and collaborate with other technical
contributors.
- Collaborate: Work together with a variety of cross functional
teams across Reddit.
- Evolve: Learn and improve your own technical and non-technical
abilities.Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on, post-grad, non-internship professional
Software Development experience
- Experience with Postgres/SQL database systems, ideally applied
in a large-scale data analysis product (Google BigQuery
preferred).
- Some familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or
Google Cloud preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in developing end-to-end web
applications, from database design to user interface
implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate front-end systems
efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills. You must be able to collaborate
effectively with teams in a fully-remote environment, and negotiate
complex requirements with technical and non-technical

span more than one career level. In addition to base salary, this
job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock
units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be

vary from the amounts listed below.The base pay range for this
